Noakhali, October 10, 1946 – continues to haunt


How many decades or centuries may pass, significance of October 10 does refuse to die down.

This was the day in 1946 that led to the brutal initiation of one of the darkest chronicles in the modern human civilization. Islamic pogrom against Bengali Hindus in Noakhali and Tipperah, located in the then Chittagong division of pre-partitioned Bengal, kicked off today (Kojaagari Laxmi Puja took place on October 10, 1946) and sealed the fate of Hindus in then undivided India forever.

Hindu girl Abducted by Muslims in Joynagar

District : S 24 Parganas Police Station: Joynagar Village : South Bele Durganagar Date : 6th March 2009 Sushmita Nashkar, daughter of Chandrachur Nashkar is a 13 year old minor. She was kidnapped on March 6th by 2 Muslims, named Rinku Molla (son of Monchur Molla), and Khokhon Molla (son of Imam Molla), both of Padua village in Badra area of Joynagar Police Station.
